GAIA - Open Events
In late Oct 2016 GAIA held an event called "GAIA on the Dee". Llangollen Maelor Angling Club gave use of their beat at Broken bridge for what turned out to be a fantasic day.
Demonstrations where given including
- Welsh Dee kick sampling
- Phil Ratcliffe and Pat Stevens gave pratical demonstrations on French, Czech and tight line Nymphing techniques.
- Louis Noble gave a master class on wet fly and spider fishing techniques.
- Wendy Gibson & Bob Lomax demonstrated Fly tying and discussed various techniques in the Bryan Howel hotel.
The public are always invited and warmly welcomed at our events and everyone who attended had a lot of fun. Harry Johnson made this film of the day for us and really managed to capture the spirt of the Game Angling Instructors' Assossiation.
